Joseph A. LaRose

Joseph A. LaRose Jr. age 86 formerly of Munroe Falls, OH passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday night Aug. 3, 2023 at the Cleveland Clinic Marymount Hospital in Garfield Heights, OH.  He was born on Oct. 28, 1936 in Manchester, New Hampshire the son of the late Joseph Arthur LaRose Sr. and Beatrice (St. Onge) LaRose.  Joseph married the love of his life, Joan A. Melin on Feb. 5, 1960 and they enjoyed 53 years of marriage together until her death on July 4, 2013.  He worked at Avery- Dennison in Painesville, OH as a Chemical Engineer for over 20 years retiring in 1998.  He has lived in Garfield Heights for 1 year, formerly of Munroe Falls and Paris Twp, OH.  While living in Paris Twp, he served as a township trustee and a Paris Twp Volunteer Firefighter & EMT.  Joseph loved playing the stock market, reading, dancing with his wife, doing puzzles, and math & science.  He also was a former Cub Scout Leader, and adjunct college professor at Penn State University teaching Chemistry and Quality Control. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joan, 1 son: Jacques LaRose, and 1 sister: Jeanette Johnson.

He is survived by: 1 daughter: Janine & Thomas Zambo of White Rock, NM, 2 sons: Joseph & Karyl LaRose III of Colorado Springs, CO, Jeffrey & Elaine LaRose of Raleigh, NC, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place.  A graveside service will be on Thursday Aug 10, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Hawley Cemetery in Paris Twp, OH.   He will be laid to rest beside his wife Joan after services.
