Obituary
Kathryn M. Bruce age 69 of Newton Falls passed away suddenly on Friday Sept. 8, 2023 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. She was born on April 19, 1954 in Bedford, OH the daughter of the late Stanley Adolph Svab and Anna Kathryn (Laubscher) Svab. Kathryn married Carl Howard Bruce in 1989 and they have enjoyed 34 years of marriage together. She has lived in Newton Falls for the last 2 years formerly of Lake Milton since 1989. Kathryn worked at Home Depot in Niles for the last 2 years in the Plumbing Department. She enjoyed playing video games, reading, working on cars, and just being with her grandchildren. Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents, and 1 grandson: Brantley Donham.
She is survived by: her husband: Carl H. Bruce of Newton Falls, 1 daughter: Anna & Michael Bennett of Streetsboro, OH, 1 son: Chris (Punky) & Crystal Donham of Lake Milton, 5 grandchildren: Shelley, Nicholas, Braelynn, Brynlee, and William.
Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Thursday Sept. 14, 2023 at 7:00pm with Pastor Jennifer Dorn officiating. Calling hours will be from 5:00- 7:00pm. Cremation will follow the funeral service. The family has requested that all donations please be made to the Angels for Animals 4750 OH- 165 Canfield, OH 44406 in her memory.
