Kay Peace Obituary

Kay L. Peace, age 75 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Wednesday March 8, 2023 at her residence.  She battled cancer for 32 years, and is finally at peace with her Lord and love of her life, Fred. She was born on December 11, 1947, in Somerset, PA, the daughter of the late Edwin Allen Brant & Sarah Louise (Baker) Brant.  Kay married the love of her life, Freddie G. Peace, on August 28, 1965 and they enjoyed 42 years of blessed marriage together before he passed away on July 2, 2008.  She had lived in Newton Falls since 1965 formerly of Lake Milton and Woodstock, GA.  She worked as a teacher for the Children Development Learning Center in Woodstock, GA.  Kay was a member of the Edinburg Church of God, where she was a youth leader for 10 years and a former member of the Newton Falls First Church of God, where she was a Youth group leader and a puppet ministry leader for 18 years.  She enjoyed camping, crafting, hot air balloon rides, eating at Chick-Fil-A, and making memories with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Freddie, and 2 great grandchildren: Jax, and Sarah.

She is survived by:  her daughters Jody Peace &  Ohma Brown of Acworth, GA, Debbie & Randy McConaughey of Newton Falls,  & Lynette & Charles Cheek of Murphy, NC her sister: Debra  & Larry Jones of Newton Falls and 7 grandchildren: Randi Lynn ,( Eric), Alexis, (Cody), Ashley, Dana, Tiffany, Ethen, (Autumn), Kody, 9 great grandchildren: Savannah, Radie, Rhett, Jayce, Elyse, Aiden, Beau, Harper, and Piper-Lynn.

Funeral Services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Saturday March 11, 2023 at 2:00pm with Pastor Mark Hunt officiating. Calling hours will be from 12:00- 2:00pm. Kay will be laid to rest beside her husband Freddie at the Newton Falls Cemetery.
