Louis P. Ayersman age 85 of Kinsman, OH, passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday night, Aug. 5, 2023, at his residence. He was born on Aug. 23, 1937, in Grafton, WV, the son of the late Louis C. Ayersman and Florence M. (Knott) Ayersman. Louis has lived in Kinsman since 1969, formerly of Fowler, OH. He graduated from Tunnelton High School in the Class of 1954. After high school, he served in the US Army from 1962-1965 during the Vietnam War. Louis then married the love of his life, Elvera Staton on Dec. 22, 1962, and they enjoyed 55 years of marriage together until she passed away on Nov. 12, 2017. He worked as a BP operator for RMI Titanium in Niles OH for 43 years, retiring in 1999. Louis loved tinkering with small engines, riding and drag racing motorcycles, fishing, squirrel hunting, snowmobiling, camping, and roller derbies. He was a loving father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed. Louis is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Elvera.
Louis is survived by 3 daughters, Verna, Julie, and Deborah of Kinsman, OH; 1 son, David & Rhonda Ayersman of Hartford, OH; 12 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Newton Falls First Church of God, 426 West Broad St., Newton Falls, OH 44444, on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023, at 12:00pm with Pastor Jennifer Dorn officiating. Calling hours will be from 11:00am - 12:00pm. Louis will be laid to rest beside his wife at Lutheran Cemetery in Newton Falls.
