Marlene G. Gump, 64 of Ravenna passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023 at University Hospitals - Ahuja Medical Center. She was born in Dayton on August 30, 1958.
Marlene; a Portage County resident since 1986, worked as an Accounts Payable Coordinator III in Pharmacy at Elixir Solutions for the past 13 years. Marlene married her late husband James Howard Gump Jr. on October 16, 2004. Together they enjoyed going to Dirt Track Racing events throughout the area. Together they shared 14 years of marriage before his passing on December 18, 2018.
Marlene is survived by her beloved dog, Gus; daughters; Jessica (Josh Bender) Bias of Rupert, West Virginia, Jennifer (Bryan) Klich of Aurora and Samantha (Ben) Morgan of Ravenna; son, Jack (Jessii) Bias of Hanover, Virginia; stepsons, Jeff Gump of Wayland, Ohio, Dennis (Trisia) Gump of Deerfield, Ohio and William (Vicki) Gump of Diamond, Ohio; sisters; Maude (Jack) Bias of Ravenna, Ohio, Kathy Offredo of Cleveland, Ohio, Angel (Joe) Mikols of Brimfield, Ohio, Geraldine (Fiancé Steve) Perkins of Perry, Ohio and Vercie "Sugar" (Tate) Sizemore of Alta, West Virginia and stepbrother Scott (Amy) Bennett of Boomer, West Virginia; 14 grandchildren; Breanna, Abbi, Cassi, Makayla, Preston, Emma, Emmerson, Oakleigh, Jack, Olive, Sophia, Faith, Trevor and Landon; two great grandchildren; Carter and Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James, parents, Glen and Vercie (Maynard) Bennett and her brother Rick Perkins.
The family will be holding an open house Celebration of Life on March 4th from 1:00pm until 5:00pm at Hawthorn of Aurora Clubhouse 685 Walnut Ridge Trail, Aurora, OH 44202
