Todd L. Blazsek

Todd L. Blazsek age 63 of Braceville moved on to eternal rest on October 7, 2023, surrounded by his beloved family.  He was born in Warren on May 21, 1960 to Howard H. and Lois M. (Young)  Blazsek.  He grew up in Braceville,  Ohio, where he would make his forever home with his wife and three children.  
 
A 1978 graduate of LaBrae High School, Todd excelled playing basketball.  As a young man, he raced motocross with his buddies.  He worked road construction before deciding to become a Professional Land Surveyor, which would become his lifelong vocation. He started his own business in 2010 called, T.L. Blazsek Land Surveying.  His Mantra when it came to his work, and his life, was, "we don't cut corners, we measure them."
 
Todd loved spending time with his family and friends.  He enjoyed taking his time on his tractor, mowing the grass; as he took a lot of pride in his property.  Todd could often be found working in his office or relaxing in his garage watching sports on TV.  Among his favorite pastimes was traveling to different NASCAR tracks around the country.
 
He is survived by his loving wife the former Deborah A. Buckner, whom he married June 30, 1984. Together they shared 39 years of marriage. His three children Lindsay (Jason Frederick) Blazsek of Cleveland, Marisa Blazsek of Braceville Twp, and Douglas (Fiancée Chanisara Netsuwan) Blazsek of Merritt Island, Florida, his granddaughter, Rosie, his brother Mark (Bonnie) Blazsek of Braceville Twp., mother-in-law, Ana Buckner,brother-in-law John (Rebecca) Buckner, sister-in-law Elizabeth Ruiz,  many nephews, nieces, cousins and countless lifelong friends.
 
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jeff, grandparents Marvel & Woodrow Young, Jake & Bonnie Blazsek, Aunts Betty and Natalie, and Uncle Harry.
 
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 11AM to 1PM at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 1PM at the funeral home.  Todd will be laid to rest in Braceville Cemetery. 

The family would like to express their gratitude to Todd's caregivers from Patriot Health Care, all of the local health care professionals, and the staff of the Cleveland Clinic.
