William B. Garro age 86 of Braceville passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday July 9, 2023 at the Warren Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Warren, OH. He was born on June 26, 1937 in Ravenna, OH the son of the late Michael F. Garro and Alice L. (Davis) Garro.
William had lived in Braceville for most of his life, and after high school he served during peacetime in the US Army from 1959-1962. He worked at Republic Steel in Warren, Structural Steel in Newton Falls and worked as a Custodian at LaBrae Middle School in Braceville. William was a member of the St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Church in Newton Falls. He enjoyed watching TV, spending time with his grandchildren, and was an avid Cleveland sports fan, especially the Cleveland Browns. He loved fishing, hunting, and gardening. William is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers: Frank & Joseph Garro, and 1 sister: Carmella Wujick.
He is survived by: his ex wife Dorothy (Bell) Garro, 2 daughters: Alice Garro of Braceville, Jennifer Garro of Newton Falls, 3 sons: William & Jennifer Garro of Newton Falls, Thomas Garro of Newton Falls, Michael Garro of Braceville, and 4 grandchildren: Alice, Addison, Aiden, and Alexander.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be at the Braceville Cemetery in Braceville, OH on Monday July 17, 2023 at 1:00pm. The family has requested that all donations please be made to the St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Church 131 Quarry St. Newton Falls, OH 44444 in his memory.
